  14. As the subject describes, with a 6 meter modem cable my phone 
  15. line is always busy while the modem is DISconnected. 
  16. Using the shorter 2meter cable frees the phone line when
  17. I disconnect, as normal. 
  18.  
  19. Could this really be because of the length, or because the cable is 
  20. somehow just different?

  22. I'll have to reorganise the whole living room if I  have to 
  23. use the shorter cable. :-(

  25. BTW. I'm in Germany, the PC is Win95, the modem is Creatix 14.4
